Carny is my pride and joy. She's from Belle's first litter. I can't get over her gorgeous markings! And she's such a happy girl, very eager to play, but she loves to cuddle, too. This picture was taken at 13 months. She's just under 18"!

Cloudy is from Belle's second litter, at 16 months. (She's now 3.) She's about 18 3/4". She's a calm girl, just the opposite of her big sister.

Belle is 18 3/4" tall and about 45 lbs.

Belle is from our Reddi/Jally cross. She's 4 years old in this picture, taken 11/30/02. Belle has tons of drive and personality, mothering and bathing all of the other animals. She's obsessed with cleaning ears. She inherited her mother's bomb-proof temperament. Nothing phases her. She's never shown an ounce of agression toward another animal or a person. The only time she has ever growled is when she has a litter of puppies, which is understandable, and acceptable, behavior.

Belle is 9 now and retired.

Clancy came to us a year ago. He's an Italian Greyhound. His original owners weren't prepared for his energetic personality, and evidently left him in the back yard, neglecting him emotionally. His breeder took him back the moment she found out what was going on, and worked with him quite intensively, socializing him and building his self-esteem.We got him when he was about 14 months old, boy was he a scared little boy! This photo was taken 2 weeks after we got him, when we went to an agility match to visit his breeder. What a difference 2 weeks of being smothered with love and affection from 7 people can do! He very quickly reverted to his original personality, energetic, feisty, demanding and obnoxious, just like he's supposed to be! We love him to pieces, and he loves us too.

Clancy is neutered.

Chewy is the latest addition to our family. His original family was no longer able to keep him, so tearfully gave him to us. Thankfully we're all close friends, so the get to see him regularly. We haven't had a terrier in the house since we lost Schatzie, and it's wonderful to have that terrier spunk around again! He loves rough housing with the bigger dogs, something Clancy would never dream of doing. He's totally ball crazy, and he and Fable love to play 'keep away'.

Jally was 17 3/4"tall, and weighed 40 lbs.

Jally (pronounced Holly) was our foundation bitch. She had great substance and bone, small, high ears, a blocky head, correct movement all the way around, strong herding instinct, and a level temperament, allowing the kids to do whatever they wanted to her without complaint. All of these have been a great assett to the minis. She was also my special baby, following me from room to room, and making us laugh with her silly quirks (she loved to lay like a frog, even when she was pregnant). She was very special girl!

Jally unfortunately contracted both Cushings disease and diabetes insipidus, both serious diseases. We felt it best to have her put down, we couldn't see her suffer. We miss her terribly! I've been trying to make a memorial page for her for three years, and still can't bring myself to.

This is Schatzie, the rarest breed of all, an 'Airhead Terrier', complete with a valve stem behind her left ear labled, "Inflate to 35 PSI" :-). Schatzie means sweetheart in German, and it fits her to a 'T'. She had a phenominal maternal instinct and used to spend hours grooming our cats, they would literally line up for her to groom! We used to joke that we would have to treat *her* for hairballs instead of the cats. :-) She used to love playing with the other dogs and their puppies (she would hop into the whelping box the minute Mommy left) but as she got older she wasn't up to a puppy's antics, much to her frustration. When she turned 15 she was blind in one eye, and half blind in the other, but that didn't stop her from jumping up on to the dining room table to steal Aidan's hotdog. (She may have been a sweetheart, but she was still a terrier!) As she got stiff in her joints she used her tail like a propeller as she bounced along like 'Jock' in Lady and the Tramp. But she could still jump from the front seat of the car to the back seat with ease. She finally started going deaf, but it was hard to tell. She always had 'convenience hearing', and she could still hear us dish up her dog food, so who knows. But she was happy and enjoyed life, and that's what counts. She finally got to the point where she wasn't enjoying life so much. She had dementia, and just wasn't 'there' any more. We made the painful decision to have her put down. That decision is never easy, even when you know it's the right thing to do. Especially since we had just had to have Jally put down in April. We'd had Schatzie since Ashton was a baby, she was a part of our life for a long time. At least she lived a long, happy and healthy life.

Moon is exactly 18" tall and weighs about 40 lbs.

What's not to love about this guy? Perfect head, great substance, great side gait, intelligent, eager to please, out going, self-confident, great agility, herding instinct - every thing you could ask for in an Aussie. He loves to play on the jungle gym at the playground and has a great sense of humor, and acts like a total goofball most of the time, but then he'll strike a pose and take my breath away! Oh, did I mention his gorgeous head?

Moon passed away peacefully in his sleep 5/10/08. Everyone who knew him will miss him.
