4 Weeks Old Feb 23, 2007

Neither Blitz nor Cloudy have been bred before, so we don't know exactly what we'll get. What I expect are small, happy go lucky, people oriented dogs. Blitz is an energetic goof. He loves to play fetch. We have a 3 ft tall ex-pen put up as a fence across one end of the yard. It was supposed to keep the dogs away from Aidan's swing set. Instead, it just gives the dogs extra exercise as they run across the yard. I toss the ball or frisbee across the yard, and Blitz just flies over the fence to get it and bring it back. (At least this increases the workout he gets!) But once he's done playing outside, he insists on coming back in to be with people. No lounging in the sun for this boy - he wants to lay in my lap! He's an 'in your face' kinda dog. Cloudy, on the other hand, is a low drive dog. She's the only aussie that won't jump the ex-pen, even though I'm sure she could. She rough houses with the other dogs, and is then content to lay in the shade outside. When she comes in, she stretches out on the floor beside me. She definitely isn't in my face non-stop. So they should balance each other nicely. Hopefully the pups will get Blitz's head and topline, and Cloudy will help mellow the temperament.

I'm very excited to see the quality of these pups. Blitz's maternal uncle, Storm, took Best of Breed at Westminster a few years ago, and Cloudy's paternal aunt took Winner's Bitch at Crufts (the world's biggest dog show, held in England)! So there's some real potential here.

Danny and I are British mystery fanatics. I was going to use musical terms for this litter, but Savannah suggested using names from our favorite shows. What a great idea! These aren't permanent names, they're just 'call names' for while the pups are here. When the pups are between 4 - 5 weeks old, and are paired with their new families, we will call them by the names their new families have chosen (if they've done so).

She is now Bonza's Shania Twain and will have a show career with Dolores in Wisconsin

Thyme is a sweet, gorgeous girl, who is going to live with Holly and Co.

Weight Chart

Pups are 'small standards', meaning AKC registered Aussies, but on the smaller side, approximately 18-20" tall.

Naturally, parents have hip, elbow, and eye clearances, and the puppies will have their eyes cleared before leaving. Puppies will also be microchipped, and families will be provided with a DVD on how to clicker train (obedience train) the new puppy.

Our puppies are raised in our house with our 5 children, all of our dogs, and our many cats. They're VERY well socialized before they leave! ;~)
