Blitz at 16 months

Blitzen (German for lightning) is a hoot! When I met him I knew he was the type of puppy that would 'blitz' any room he entered, so Blitzen seemed like a good play on words. Blitz is high drive, and sharp as a tack! He wants to learn, learn, learn, all day long. I've never met a puppy that didn't get tired of training, until now. Between his drive and his agility, you'd think he was a Belle son. He has springs in all four legs, and is fearless. When he was 3 months old he jumped from his crate (on top of Moon's), to our bed, 5 feet away. He barely missed. If he'd been a tad less cautious, he would have made it.
His dam, Lola, is 17 1/2 " tall, and he has several half brothers that are only 18" - 19" tall. I can hardly wait to see what he will produce with Carny and Cloudy! By the way, Lola's brother, Storm, took Best of Breed at Westminster in 2002. Not too shabby, eh?
Blitz has gorgeous movement, all the way around, and an equally gorgeous head. His brother has started his show career in Europe and is taking them by storm (pardon the pun). These guys are going to make a mark in the world. (Okay, another pun, sorry!)
He's 9 months here, and 19" tall.Unfortunately he's a teenager right now, which can't be helped. I call it the 'dinosaur' phase, meaning large body, with very small brain. Getting him to focus is quite the challenge! I know his brain will return before too long.

16 months
We decided to take some pictures of Blitzen, but Kiwi had other ideas. I love the way her tail is wrapped around Blitz's nose! She was trying to get him to groom her. (Why the name Kiwi? Because she's green and fuzzy, and 'Kiwi' seemed classier than 'Mildew'.)

Linux came over to check out the action. If you look closely, you can see Blitz's tongue, as he gives Linux a kiss. (Why the name Linux? It's a computer operating system. Their logo is a penguin. Since Linux is a 'tuxedo' cat, and we're computer geeks, the name seemed appropriate.) In the second photo, if you look closely you can see that his eyes are crossed, he's staring so hard at the cookie!
Blitz is maturing into a lap dog. He loves to run and jump over things when outside (he taught himself how to climb ladders!) but when he's in the house he just wants to sit in my lap. He even tries to curl up on the glider ottoman! What a ditz!
Savannah took the sticker off a toy and found a new use for it. She seemed to think it was appropriate. (I don't know if it was evil, or genius!)
