Belle is totally looney toons. She has an ear fetish, being totally obsessed with cleaning ears, anyone's ears. She has gone so far as to steal Savannah's stuffed animals, just to chew their ears off! How does she know where the ears are on a stuffed animal?
She likes to lay her head in your lap, just like her father. She comes up to you and lays her head in your lap, somehow managing to put all of her 40 pounds in her head. But the worst part about it is that she waits until you're working at the computer and sneaks up from behind. Then as she approaches you she rubs her nose against your elbow, sliming you. When you're done having your heart attack she puts her head in your lap and stares up at you with her big brown eyes, like she's absolutely starved for attention.
She doesn't have an agressive bone in her body, even when she's in heat (when most bitches will get in to fights with other females) she's a total love. She has an overwhelming maternal instinct, and will 'mother' our cats, former rabbits, and anything else she can get her paws on. Most of the cats don't appreciate being pinned down by her paws and being bathed until they're dripping wet, but for some reason Kiwi and Bonnie loved it.
Belle proved to be an excellent producer. A fanatical mother, she continued to nurse her puppies until they left, even if that wasn't until they were 4 months old. Now retired, her daughters enjoy having a Gramma around to babysit the kids.
